Jacob Bean picked up his first camera at the age of 15. What begin as messing around and shooting around a small town in North Dakota, Jacob soon started shooting for his high school newspaper. Not long after he begin working for the Metigoshe Mirror as a photojournalist.. His favorite part of the job was always being able to photograph from a candid angle the events of a small town. Jacob won awards from the North Dakota Newspaper Association for his photography year after year.

Jacob went on to work as a photojournalist for two college newspapers, The Buzz and The Periscope. 

After earning a minor in Photography from Shorter University and spending a year abroad in Spain working for a production company, Jacob's passion for photography grew immensely. 

Jacob has continued to travel and photograph. Currently his is located in Atlanta, Ga where he photographs for Above the Line Housing, individuals and films.
